Focusing on the standardization of emerging and future industries, a meeting was held on March 22, which was attended by Dai Dongqiang, Party Secretary and Director-General of Tianjin Administration for Market Regulation (TAMR), Luo Fangping, Party Secretary and President of CNIS, as well as other representatives of TAMR and CNIS, and moderated by Jiang Jiadong, Vice President of CNIS. Experts from the Sub-institute of Standardization Theory and Strategy expounded on related issues.
Standards set up thresholds and drives quality improvement, which is one of the key factors to boost high-quality regional economic development. Recently, the development of emerging and future industries is highly valued by local governments, where standards can play a leading role. CNIS is willing to enhance the cooperation with TAMR, exert the function of standards for improving the stability, resilience and security of industrial chain, and boost the development of emerging and future industries in Tianjin, said Luo Fangping.
Tianjin has leading advantages in information technology innovation, synthetic biology and other industries. Dai Dongqiang expressed the willing to deepen cooperation with CNIS, by initiating cooperation projects as soon as possible, utilizing the efficiency of standardization, and supporting the interactive quality improvement of industrial chains and supply chains, to better prop up Tianjin's modernized industry system.
