CNIS holds the 4th international standardization training and exchange activity

The 4th international standardization training and exchange activity in 2023 was held on November 21, to encourage more experts to engaging in international standardization, and enhance the capability of CNIS to join in international standardization activities.

The keynote speaker, Xu Fang, ANSI's Chief Representative in China, was invited to explain the development of the American standardization system, represented by ANSI and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), combining social and historical events that have had an important impact on the development of American standardization system. He briefly introduced the principles and methods of standards development in the U.S., expounded how government departments could effectively guide and participate in civil and international standardization work, and discussed future cooperation direction with CNIS experts.

Attended by over 40 personnel from research departments of CNIS and China Standard Science and Technology Group Co., Ltd., this activity helps participants deepen the understanding of the operation mechanism and governance mode of standardization system in the U.S., which promotes the coordination and mutual support between China and the U.S. in international standardization affairs.
