ISO/TC 322, Sustainable finance, held the 7th plenary meeting in London of the U.K. on June 12-15, attracting more than 30 representatives from countries such as China, the U.K., Switzerland, Italy, Sweden, India, Japan, Greece and South Africa as well as related liaison organizations. As the domestic mirror committee, CNIS organized related experts to attend the meeting.
As Vice Chair of ISO/TC 322/CAG, Ma Jun, President of Institute of Finance and Sustainability, gave suggestions on key priorities of the technical committee based on the latest progress and market demands of sustainable finance internationally. CNIS expert Li Pengcheng was invited to share the a series of standards on greenhouse gas qualification and other standards developed by ISO/TC 207 on environmental management, and proposed the suggestion on strengthening the application of ISO environmental management standards in sustainable financial activities.
Centering on the major demands in carbon peak and neutrality in China, CNIS will encourage more experts to participate in the international standardization work on sustainable finance in ISO, make more efforts to adopt international standards, and provide a solid standardization basis for financial activities to support green, low-carbon and sustainable development.
