The Quality Management Sub-institute of CNIS, also known as the Product Quality and Safety Risk Monitoring Center, State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR), convened the seminar on risk monitoring and classification supervision of product quality & safety on March 14 in Beijing.

The seminar was addressed by Li Hejun, Deputy Director-General of Product Quality and Safety Regulation Department, SAMR, and attended by representatives from Beijing Products Quality Supervision and Inspection Institute, Tianjin Product Risk Monitoring and Defective Product Administrative Center, Quality Management Sub-institute, and local departments of market regulation in Tianjin, Liaoning province, Shanghai, Zhejiang province, Shandong province, Henan province, Guangdong province, Sichuan province, etc. Liu Chao, Third-class Investigator from Product Quality and Safety Regulation Department, presided over the seminar.

At the meeting, attendees exchanged experience in product risk monitoring. Focusing on the draft of Guidelines on Quality Credit Evaluation of Industrial Product Producers and the draft for comments of Opinions on Further Enhancing Monitoring of Product Quality and Safety Risks, attendees put forward suggestions and comments based on local experience.

According to these comments and advice, the Product Quality and Safety Risk Monitoring Center will support the Product Quality and Safety Regulation Department of SAMR to improve the two documents, which will offer operational guidance on the work of SAMR and local authorities in this field.
