The 10th International Conference on Energy Efficiency in Domestic Appliances and Lighting (EEDAL'19) was held on November 6-8, 2019 in Jinan, China. The event welcomed some 50 representatives from more than 20 countries and international organizations including International Energy Agency (IEA), the United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Participants exchanged views on a wide ranges of hot topics in the cutting-edge areas of terminal energy efficiency, such as energy efficiency policies and systems, energy saving financing and services, demand-side response, and renewable energy and distributed power.
Experts were also engaged in meetings related to energy efficiency labelling and green product labelling, sharing latest progress and experience as well as labelling management and market application in the area and fully supporting cooperation on labelling management, technology and promotion.
The event inaugurated in 1997 is organized every two years. As one of the most important academic conferences in the field of terminal energy efficiency, it is aimed at promoting technical exchanges between producers, consumers, government departments, academia and sharing the latest development in energy saving technology, actions and policies.
This year's event is the first EEDAL held in Asia. It provides CNIS the chance to track and share the development of policies, standards and technologies in the international arena of household appliances and lighting, conducive to upgrading the level of energy saving standardization research and strengthening the cooperation on energy efficiency technology with the countries along the Belt and Road.
