Five national standards for express industry developed by CNIS released

The press conference for 5 national standards on the express industry was jointly held by the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) and the State Post Bureau in Beijing on January 25.

At the conference, Li Aixian, Vice President of CNIS, Xu Changxing, Deputy Director-General of Standards Technical Management Department of SAMR, and Jin Bing, Deputy Director-General of Department of Policies and Regulations at the State Post Bureau, interpreted 5 standards for the express industry including GB/T 27917-2023, Express service, GB 43352-2023, Limits of heavy metals and other specific substances in express packaging, and GB/T 43283-2023, Circulating packaging box for express, which was reported by national mainstream media such as CCTV.

CNIS has led the development of four standards and participated in the development of one standard with vital efforts. The standards focus on the quality of express service and green express packaging, conclude the practices of express industry, and integrate new technologies, new models and other latest achievements, which provide technical support to further regulate the development of postal and express industry, improve the quality of express services, and boost the green and low-carbon development of the express industry.
