The meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of CNIS commenced on December 29, 2023.

Hosted by Li Aixian, Vice President of CNIS, the meeting was attended by more than 50 participants including the leaders of CNIS, retired former leaders, representatives of employees, who gathered together to review the development of CNIS and look ahead.

CNIS has been keeping pace with China's development and the change of times, addressed Luo Fangping, President and Party Secretary of CNIS. Generations of CNIS staff have made great contribution to economic and social development with down-to-earth efforts, keen innovation and hard work.

Shouldering the mission bestowed by the new era, CNIS staff will carry forward its fine traditions with responsibility and humbleness, strive to implement the national plans, and write a new chapter of the high-quality development of CNIS, expected Luo.

At the meeting, former leaders and retirees such as Jiao Yunqi, Wang Ping and Zou Jianhua reviewed the important events and precious memory that they experienced during the development of CNIS. Employee representatives including Chen Haihong, Zhou Li and Chen Junhua shared the experience in their work.

A unanimous consensus was reached at the meeting that CNIS should follow the lead of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, focus on the role and responsibility of standardization work in the new era, continue to play a leading role in industrial upgrading, technological innovation and social development, and devote more efforts to the high-quality development of economy and society.
