National Library of Standards hosts a lecture for World Standard Day

To celebrate the 52th World Standard Day, the National Library of Standards hosted a virtual lecture on the theme of "A shared vision for a better world", gathering some 80 participants from relevant areas.

Wang Bin, curator of the library, presided over the lecture, which is aimed at promoting the standardization history, standard informatization and internationalization of China's standards.

On the lecture, experts from the library introduced services of the library and displayed several independent developed systems for more efficient and convenient search and analysis of information.

The National Library of Standards is expected to enhance public awareness of standardization, while showing the leading role of standards in national governance system and modernization of governance capacity.

Dating from 1963, the library is the sole national standard literature collection, research and service institution in China, which functions as a big-data service platform and a high-level think tank for standardization. Also, it supports the Belt and Road Initiative in the field of standardization.
