Chinese experts have made leading efforts in the publication of four international standards on application of statistical methods, which is half of the total number of standards published by ISO/TC 69 in 2020.
The four standards include ISO 2859-4:2020, Sampling procedures for inspection by attributes - Part 4: Procedures for assessment of declared quality levels, ISO/TR 22914:2020, Statistical methods for implementation of Six Sigma - Selected illustration of analysis of variance, ISO 7870-7:2020, Control charts - Part 7: Multivariate control charts, and ISO 5725-4:2020, Accuracy (trueness and precision) of measurement methods and results - Part 4: Basic methods for the determination of the trueness of a standard measurement method.
The first two are respectively spearheaded by Ding Wenxing, Deputy Director General of Sub-Institute of Fundamental Standardization of CNIS and Dr. Zhao Jing from the Sub-Institute. The impressive results mark a breakthrough in the area since China began to undertake the secretariat of ISO/TC 69/SC 7 on applications of statistical and related techniques for the implementation of Six Sigma in 2008.
