Seminar on Sustainable Finance International Standards held in Shenzhen

The Seminar on Sustainable Finance International Standards, organized by China Emissions Exchange and the Branch of Resources and Environment Research of CNIS took place in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province on December 5, 2019. The meeting was guided by SAC/TC 180 on finance and the Green Finance Committee of China Finance Society, and supported by Green Finance Development and Research Center of Tsinghua University and Green Finance Committee of Shenzhen Special Economic Zone Finance Society.
He Jie, head of Shenzhen Finance Supervision Bureau and Lei Yao, deputy head of Finance Research Institute of People's Bank of China addressed the event. More than 100 representatives from government, financial institution, international organization, research institute and third-party financial service companies at home and abroad participated in the event.
The meeting is an important part of the second plenary meeting of ISO/TC 322 on sustainable finance, focusing on the themes such as standards requirements of sustainable finance, application cases of sustainable finance standards, and market demands of sustainable finance international standards. Peter Young, Chair of ISO/TC 322 moderated the panel discussion. 
After communication and discussion, participants clarified the working plan of ISO international standards for sustainable finance, reaching a consensus on major international standards projects.
The event plays a crucial role in promoting the development of finance international standards and encouraging more Chinese experts to participate in international standardization activities.
