In order to better promote the research of "English-Chinese Bilingual Corpus of Standardization and Ontology Knowledge System", which belongs to the special project "NQI" of the National key R & D Program, and learn from the successful experience of the BSI in the construction of standardization knowledge systems and the overseas promotion of standards, and exchange research results in the field of standards big data and intelligent translation, Researcher Liu Zhiyang, the head of the project, led the key members of the research group to the British Standards Institute (BSI) to conduct an exchange of project results and investigation for the overseas promotion model of the standards on October 23-24, 2018.

The BSI attaches importance to this visit, according to the different content of the exchange, held four thematic meetings to carry out exchanges, BSI International Affairs Department, Content Management Department, Asia Pacific Standard Sales Department and other relevant departments of the 7 experts attended this series of seminars.
Mainly focused on the NQI research results, standards big data research and development, standards overseas promotion model and standards information cooperation, the delegation and the relevant BSI experts held a series of meetings. Liu Zhiyang first introduced the English-Chinese bilingual corpus of standardization and intelligent translation cloud platform. Peter Sissons, Head of the BSI International Affairs Department, pointed out that the development of the platform is of great significance, which is the only intelligent professional translation platform that can translate and edit standards texts online so far he saw.

Associate researcher Gan Keqin from the National Library of Standards introduced the development and application of the national standard document sharing service platform and the standard information big data, and demonstrated the big data analysis system of the standards drafting organizations, and the standards index extraction and comparison system, expounded the multi-dimensional analysis of the contribution of standards development and the application effect of this work in the comparison of Chinese and foreign standards. Then, Peter Maidens, Head of BSI's new content solution, introduced BSI's systems and cases of standards data management and standards implementation supervision. Examples are given to illustrate how the process data generated in the process of process management and implementation supervision serve the government and play a key role in production safety.

Zhang Baolin, associate researcher from the National Standards Review Center, the sub-task undertaking organization, introduced the purpose of overseas promotion and research of Chinese standards. Sarah Condon, senior marketing manager of BSI, introduced the main methods of overseas promotion of BSI standards. The two sides conducted detailed exchanges on issues such as standard information collection, standard sales policies, sales patterns, and so on.
