Date: 11 5, 2026
A delegation from the Asset Management Council (AM Council) of Australia visited CNIS on October 22. The two sides held an exchange meeting on asset management standardization.
Lu Lili, Vice President of CNIS, welcomed the delegation and introduced CNIS’s overall status, as well as its work as the domestic technical counterpart of ISO/TC 251 on asset management, which also holds the secretariat of SAC/TC 583 on asset management.
Wendy McPate, Chair of the AM Council, thanked CNIS for its warm reception and expressed willingness to leverage the Council to build a sound bridge between China and Australia in the field of asset management standardization. The two sides can learn from each other’s experience in implementing asset management standards and jointly create favorable conditions for subsequent technical alignment and further practical cooperation.
At the meeting, the Division of High-Tech Standardization of CNIS presented China’s progress and practice in asset management standardization. Australian experts shared practical experience of Australia and New Zealand in implementing standards for asset management systems and in full lifecycle asset management of infrastructure. Both sides agreed that China and Australia have a rich practical foundation in asset management standardization across asset-intensive industries such as infrastructure, energy, and mining. They expressed the hope to further leverage their respective strengths, expand business areas, and jointly deepen international standardization cooperation in asset management.
