The 2nd Anniversary Meeting of Compliance Construction and the Special Training Session of National Standards for Compliance Management System was held on March 8 in Zhangjiagang city, East China's Jiangsu province, which was attended by more than 230 representatives from Zhangjiagang's compliance supervision committee, enterprises, etc.

Wu Xiaobo, Vice President of CNIS, and Qian Fei, Deputy Mayor of Zhangjiagang, addressed the meeting and signed the Strategic Cooperation Agreement on Promoting the Construction of Compliance Management System of Enterprises. Shao Junmin, Deputy Party Secretary of Zhangjiagang, attended the meeting and made a concluding speech.

Wu Xiaobo stressed that we should have a better understanding of compliance management, responding to Chinese President Xi Jinping's thoughts on rule of law, and the goal of creating a better legal environment for high-quality development. To promote the compliance work in Zhangjiagang, more efforts will be put into completing system, enhancing the influence of compliance, cultivating professionals, etc.

The next step of compliance construction is to improve the level of standardization, guide the third-party bodies to perform their duties fairly and normatively, and leverage the role of compliance to boost the development of industries with characteristics, said Shao Junmin. The compliance work will be brought to a higher level after the signing of the agreement, according to Qian Fei.

CNIS and Zhangjiagang city will carry out in-depth cooperation on compliance management in fields such as the pilot projects of applying standards for compliance management, assisting micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in compliance, etc.
