The national standardization technical committee on energy efficiency (SAC/TC 20) held a virtual conference on August 25 to review the revised draft of GB/T 14909-2005, Technical guidelines for exergy analysis in energy system. The event brought together some 40 committee members, industry experts and representatives from the drafting group.
The draft went through the technical review, to which Branch of Resource and Environment of CNIS undertaking the secretariat of SAC/TC 20 contributed a lot.
First released in 1994, GB/T 14909 specifies the basic concepts and terms of exergy analysis, exergy calculation and balance, and analysis steps in the energy system. It applies to any processes, devices or systems involving energy utilization or conversion. The standard was first revised in 2005. The second revision this year is expected to address application problems, meet the needs of furthering national energy conservation action, and include technical progress, thereby promoting energy utilization.
