Quality Research Branch of China National Institute of Standardization (CNIS) in collaboration with Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) won the bid for the "non-food consumer goods safety and consumer education" project funded by the European Commission. It is the first time for CNIS to get the successful bid for EU-funded project.
The three-year project officially initiated recently is aimed at enhancing EU and China cooperation on consumer protection and product safety and improving Chinese enterprises' (especially small- and medium- enterprises') knowledge about EU regulations and standards in the field of non-food consumer goods safety and consumer protection so as to promote Sino-EU trade development in a sustainable and healthy manner.
During the lifetime of the project, related regulations and standards will be disseminated and promoted by a variety of ways such as summit forum on Chinese and European consumer goods, training targeted at Chinese exporters, e-learning platform for Chinese and European consumer goods enterprises and enhanced exchanges about consumer goods safety evaluation methods and data.
