ISO/TC 251 Plenary Meeting and 2019 Asset Management International Standardization Workshop Held in Nanjing

The plenary meeting of the ISO Asset Management Technical Committee (ISO/TC 251) and the 2019 Asset Management International Standardization Workshop were successfully held in Nanjing from May 6 to 10. 34 foreign experts from 14 countries and nearly 100 domestic experts participated in the meeting.

On May 6, Rhys Davies, Chairman of the ISO Asset Management Technical Committee, Qiu Yueming, Vice President of the CNIS, Yuan Wenfeng, Deputy District Chief of the Nanjing Qixia District People's Government, Hong Miao, Director of the Standardization Administration of Jiangsu Market Supervision and Management Bureau, and Zhou Guangjun, President of Jiangsu Institute of Quality and Standardization attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.

The meeting was hosted by SAC and co-organized by CNIS and Jiangsu Institute of Quality and Standardization. This is the first time that China has held the ISO/TC 251 plenary meeting and working group meeting in China since China participated in the ISO/TC 251 work for seven years.

During the five-day meeting, participating ISO/TC251 member countries and relevant experts held fruitful discussions on the developing standards, new standards proposals and related application promotion in the field of asset management. On the afternoon of May 7, experts from various countries visited Nanjing Connie Electromechanical Co., Ltd. and Suning Holding Group, and had in-depth exchanges on the application and implementation of asset management system series standards in manufacturing and related industries.

On the afternoon of May 9, 2019 International Standardization Workshop on Asset Management was held at the same time. The workshop brought together more than 200 experts and scholars from domestic and foreign asset management standardization fields, and Qiu Yueming presided over the workshop, representatives of 10 countries, including China, the United States, France, Russia, Japan, Argentina, Australia, Finland, the Netherlands and Portugal, reported and exchanged information on the standardization of asset management in various countries.

Asset management standardization is the key research direction of CNIS High-tech and Information Standardization Institute. It has made outstanding achievements and fruitful results in international cooperation, system design, policy support, project research, standards development, technical services, etc. It is the leader of asset management standardization research in China.
