Energy Efficiency Laboratory for Energy-Using Products

The Energy Efficiency Laboratory for Energy-Using Products (hereinafter referred to as the Laboratory) focuses on forward-looking and applied basic research, as well as key technologies and related public welfare technologies in the field of energy efficiency for energy-using products. It aims to build a technological innovation base guided by technical research, centered on standardization, and supported by metrological testing and labeling systems. The Laboratory directly provides technical support for improving market supervision of end-use energy-consuming products, effectively promotes energy-saving technological progress and integrated applications, and accelerates the promotion of advanced applicable technologies.

 

The Laboratory currently possesses several large-scale comprehensive energy efficiency testing environmental facilities, including:

- Experimental environmental systems for commercial refrigeration display products

- Testing environmental systems for household refrigerators (and freezers)

- Heat balance experimental devices for household room air conditioners

- Enthalpy difference experimental systems for household room air conditioners

- Experimental systems for large commercial HVAC equipment

- Water supply regulation systems for testing water-using household appliances

- Testing systems for electric light source products

- Energy efficiency testing systems for audio-visual products

 

The Laboratory has obtained ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation from the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment (CNAS).

 

Main Research Areas

- Standards Development: Conducts extensive verification testing on energy-using products to provide authoritative, comprehensive, specific, and accurate data sources for product energy efficiency standards research. Carries out energy efficiency standard compliance verification studies.

- Energy Efficiency Labeling: Provides technical support for the implementation of energy efficiency labeling systems, promoting comprehensive improvement in the quality of end-use energy-consuming products.

- Energy-Saving Technologies: Conducts technical research in areas such as energy efficiency performance detection technology for energy-using products, and formulates unified guidance methods for domestic quality inspection institutions, certification bodies, and production enterprises. Enhances energy efficiency technology research and promotes the application of high-efficiency energy-saving technologies and products.

- Data Platform Construction: Provides data support for comprehensive statistical analysis of energy-using product performance indicators, efficiency grades, labeled product grade distribution, market share of energy-efficient products by production enterprises, and national random inspection energy efficiency pass rates.
