Director General of oriGIn visits CNIS

Massimo Vittori, Director General of the Organization for an International Geographical Indications Network (oriGIn), visited CNIS on May 14, 2026. Li Zhiping, Vice President of CNIS, met with him and hosted the meeting, which was attended by relevant staff from the Sub-institute of Agriculture and Biology Technology Standardization of CNIS.

Li Zhiping extended a warm welcome to Massimo Vittori and presented CNISs general profile, core business systems, and strategic layout of standardization. The two sides discussed topics including oriGIns work arrangements, rights and interests of its member organizations, and trends and prospects for the sustainable development of geographical indications.

CNIS will further leverage its technical expertise in geographical indication protection and standardization, actively promote domestic and international exchanges and cooperation, and expand its influence.
