Adrian Sym, CEO of the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS), led a delegation to visit CNIS and held discussions on sustainable water management on March 23.

The two sides held in-depth discussions on topics including the implementation of their memorandum of cooperation, progress in standards research, and the coordinated development of international and domestic standards. They also exchanged views on technical challenges in standards development and industry research.

CNIS and AWS agreed to continuously promote the establishment of a regular technical exchange mechanism, jointly advance the adaptation and localization of technical contents of standards, strengthen resource integration, explore the development of mutual recognition mechanisms, and collaborate on standards promotion and implementation, thereby supporting the sustainable management of global water resources. The meeting deepened the strategic cooperation and consensus between the two parties, laying a solid foundation for further collaborative efforts.

Relevant researchers from the Division of Resources and Environment Standardization of CNIS attended the meeting.
