A delegation led by Khaled Soufi, Chairman of the Egyptian Organization for Standardization and Quality (EOS) and President-elect of ISO, paid a visit to CNIS on October 31, 2025. CNIS President Wang Kun and Vice President Dai Xinhua met with the delegation.

The two sides had pragmatic discussions on laboratory testing cooperation, the construction of the China-Africa Standardization Cooperation and Research Center, the application of the Online Standards Development (OSD) Platform, and international standardization cooperation in fields such as education and food. They determined the key priorities and implementation paths for future cooperation.

The EOS delegation also made a visit to the three key laboratories of SAMR for energy efficiency, water efficiency & green development, food sensory analysis, as well as human factors and ergonomics. 

The guests gained a deep understanding of the development history of Chinas energy and water efficiency standards and labels, knew about the guiding role of ergonomics standards in driving the refinement of product design, and personally experienced the vital role of food sensory analysis in improving food quality. They highly praised the scientific research capabilities of CNIS in supporting standards development in these relevant fields. The delegation also visited the National Digital Library of Standards and its collections.
